Must-have styles from SS24

And just like that, fashion week has come to an end! From New York to Copenhagen, hundreds of designers showcased their latest collections this last month, giving us a sneak peek into the upcoming styles for next year.

From talking AI trees from the Ganni show to celebrity debuts on the runway – this season has been packed full of memorable moments. Whether you’ve been keeping up with the happenings of fashion week in real time or just catching yourself up to speed, we’ve recapped the top trends from this year's runways.

The Futurism Trend featuring the AI Ganni Girl

Inspired by the rise of artificial intelligence, the Ganni SS24 show explored the relationship between humans, technology and nature – and what better way to do that than with some talking trees?

The quintessential Danish brand showcased a collection at fashion week inspired by the rise of artificial intelligence and human connection. To drive this concept, Ganni worked with an artist for three months to create an AI ‘Ganni Girl’  a digital representation of the essence of the community that surrounds the brand. This AI voice spoke to the crowd and hosted the runway, its voice strung from speakers dotted amongst the trees.

These concepts of futurism and technology inspired the Ganni collection, which featured scandi-inspired silhouettes with a futuristic spin. Think of the relaxed scandi uniform combined with a Y2K, space cowgirl – odd we know, but stick with us.

Think sequined miniskirts, metallic western boots and vibrant new balance sneakers for a practical pop of colour. Motifs like butterflies ruled the runway with metallic accents, fringe and denim also making an appearance. Recreate the look with our collection of Y2K-inspired pieces here for more.

French-Inspired Fashion with Chanel

If we were lounging poolside in the south of France, the latest SS24 collection from Chanel would be our uniform – and isn’t that everyone's dream?

The Chanel show was inspired by the iconic geometric garden at the Villa Noailles in the south of France. The garden is a piece of modernist architecture and features a collection of square gardens that Creative Director, Virginie Viard, used as inspiration for the latest collection.

This influence was seen in the geometric patterns, vibrant pastel colours, as well as a range of graphics. This Chanel show was quintessentially spring silhouettes like flowy dresses and poolside wraps with a geometric edge, perfect for lounging poolside in this season.

Coquette Styles with Simone Rocha

Simone Rocha captured everyone’s hearts at London Fashion Week with her display of romantic, ready-to-wear pieces. The collection was peppered with affectionate rosettes, delicate pinks and pastels, ribbons and frills – leaning into the coquette trend popularised by designers like Sandy Liang.

The coquette trend is an extension of styles from the ballet-core trend, pioneered by ‘it-girls’ like Hailey Bieber and Alexa Chung. Like ballet-core, coquette takes traditional flirty and girly silhouettes to create an outfit that mixes textures and genres. With over 1.2 billion views on TikTok, this trend is one of the most sought-after styles of the season – and it’s easy to see why!

The SS24 Simone Rocha collection is devoted to this trend and everything from sheer frills, silky maxi skirts and ribbons were spotted on the runway. While much of this collection was coquette-inspired, Simone incorporated ‘practical’ elements like bedazzled crocs and sneakers for an alternative utilitarian edge.

Otherworldly Warriors with Alessandra Rich

The latest SS24 collection from Alessandra Rich was revealed during Paris Fashion Week entitled ‘From Venus with Love.’ The show transported the audience to space and positioned the runway models as women from Venus.

The label invited us into their captivating universe with metallic accessories such as statement stud earrings, bracelet cuffs and matching handbags and shoes. Alessandra paired these alternative pieces with delicate dresses made of lace, organza and billowy silks – driving home the concept that you can choose to be “delicate or strong.”

Mixing trends and styles is a common trend displayed on the runways at fashion week, giving us all license to experiment with pairing edgier styles with more ‘girly’ outfits. Experiment styling the trend yourself with trending pieces from our Statement Studs and Silver Essentials Collection for a captivating look.

Textures with Kiko Kostadinov

Kiko Kostadinov’s spring collection debuted at Paris Fashion Week this month, showcasing a collection of uniquely textured garments, all with their own unique flair.

From pleated skirts, V shaped cut outs and hybrid garments – this collection was a unique take on wardrobe staples, with a vibrant twist.

The array of playful garments showcased by the label all featured different structures, some flowed and draped while others were more formed and fitted. Kiko used muted, neutral tones throughout the collection – balanced with pops of colour. From cargo green dresses paired with red ribbons to cream co-ords with candy pink shoes, each piece from the Kostadinovs collection was styled with its own vibrant accent.

To complete the look, the models on the runway sported chunkier accessories – including thick silver chokers, wrist cuffs and rings. Style the look with chunky profile pieces from our Silver Essentials Collection.
